Repercussion Theatre’s critically acclaimed production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream set in 1760's Montréal, is a wonderfully magical and whimsical experience for all family members of all cultures.
A truly multi-lingual show – English, French and Cree- this production, infused with the love songs of the 1960’s is a singing, dancing comedic search for love. This show is an intelligent blending of the classical Shakespearean story with popular, modern musical elements. It incorporates native mythology into the world of the magical forest and seamlessly weaves 60's music into the fabric of the play.
It is extremely accessible to all ages and backgrounds and is a hugely entertaining piece of theatre. Providing full rich musical numbers, choreography, fantastical worlds of magic and comedy, wonderful passionate Shakespearean performances, a multilingual experience, stunning costumes and an innovative and dynamic in the round presentational format which is bound to be a thrill for young and old alike.
