Come celebrate Repercussion Theatre’s 20th anniversary! Tour our offices with our new Artistic Director, Paul Hopkins, and take a look at our costumes, decors, archive pictures and videos.

When: September 26, 27 and 28, 2008

Friday, September 26 from 4pm to 8pm
Saturday and Sunday, September 27 and 28 from 11am to 5pm

Behind the Scenes
How does Repercussion Theatre take the seemingly difficult text of Shakespeare and bring it too life? Join Artistic Director, Paul Hopkins, and actors Pierre-Yves Cardinal-David and Antoine Yared, as they work through and rehearse a scene from William Shakespeare's The Tempest. Witness the expertise with which actors and director approach Shakespeare's work and make it seem as if it was written yesterday. They will also be available to answer any questions you might have regarding acting, acting Shakespeare’s work or this past summer's production of The Tempest.
Offered only on Sunday September 28 (from 2-4pm)

Shakespeare Training Program: Fall 2008 courses

Repercussion Theatre is offering its Shakespeare Training Program again for a second year. This fall, the company will focus on its Professional Shakespeare Training classes with Shakespeare Level I (intensive weekend course) from October 17th to 26th and Shakespeare Level II, which will follow the previous from October 29th to December 6th.

Joel Gauthier, from Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, is this year's winner of the grand Theatre in the Parks prize: two first-class return trip tickets on the Quebec-Windsor corridor graciously offered by VIA Rail Canada.

Theatre in the Parks - The Show must go on!

Halfway through its Theatre in the Parks tour, the cast and crew of Repercussion Theatre are getting used to performing in the rain. It is almost poetic, given that the company is presenting its 20th anniversary production of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest. In the play, the magician Prospero conjures a storm to shipwreck his enemies. Mother Nature has done her best to shipwreck Repercussion’s season, but as in the play, the victims persevere.

Repercussion Theatre is proud to announce that it will tour The Tempest / La Tempête by William Shakespeare from July 22 to August 17, 2008 in parks across the Greater Montreal area. The shows, presented in English and French, are part of the bilingual programming for the 20th anniversary of Theatre in the Parks / Théâtre en plein air.

Repercussion Theatre cancels its summer production of Les fourberies de Scapin at the Old Port of Montreal

Repercussion Theatre regrets to announce that it has cancelled its outdoor theatre run of Les fourberies de Scapin at the Old Port of Montreal. The company had originally scheduled the play from June 21 to July 6 as part of its Theatre in the Parks / Théâtre en plein air programming.

This does not affect the company’s scheduled production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest / La Tempête, which will be presented in parks of the Greater Montreal Area in July and August.

Repercussion Theatre wins two awards for 2007 production of Greek

Repercussion Theatre's production of Greek, presented in Montreal and Ottawa in March 2007, has been honored with two Rideau Awards, Ottawa's professional theatre awards. The awards, for Best Production and Best Director, were given out yesterday at the Arts Court Theatre in Ottawa in front of the city’s professional theatre community.
