In this role, Hopkins will be responsible for leading the company through the creation of new and exciting productions, drawing on and nurturing the ample wealth of talent within Montreal, and bringing together the diverse communities of performers and audience members in settings that inspire and unite.

Hopkins' work as an actor at theatre companies across the country, including the Stratford Festival of Canada, has instilled a great love of the classics, most prominently Shakespeare. His love of the bard's work fuels a belief that 'through classic works, our lives can be enriched on many levels.'

Behind the scenes, Hopkins is an accomplished producer responsible for several acclaimed productions with Montreal's Arbat Theatre as well as highly profitable fundraising cabaret nights for Santropol Roulant.

"As Repercussion Theatre enters its 20th year of bringing theatre to local parks, I'm excited about the possibilities of exploring unique and innovative ways to appeal to new audiences beyond the park," says Hopkins.
