Casting Call for William Shakespeare's As You Like It
MONTREAL, APRIL 9, 2009 - Repercussion Theatre is holding auditions for non-Equity members for its upcoming Shakespeare-in-the-Park tour of William Shakespeare's As You Like It. For non-Equity artists, priority will be given to those who have recently graduated from theatre school and/or have classical theatre experience or training.
We are casting for the following roles:
Rosalind: Female, early 20s, English
Celia: Female, early 20s, English with strong French
Orlando: Male, early 20’s, French with strong English
Oliver: Male, 20’s, French with strong English
Audrey: Female, 20s or 30s, French or English
Note: All ethnicities are welcome to audition for any role. This will be an ensemble piece in which actors will play a variety of parts. We are also looking to cast multi-talented artist with strong dance backgrounds (specifically Irish or Quebecois step dancing) and musical abilities.

If asked to audition, please come prepared with:
- One French classical monologue and one Shakespearean (English) monologue
- OR, two contrasting Shakespearean (English) monologues
- AND, one short song, a cappella
General Information:
Rehearsals: Will take place in late-June until mid-July
Performances: Will run from July 23 to August 16 and will tour on and around the island of Montréal
Total Contract: 7 weeks (with possibilty of 1-week extention)

Union Non-Equity:
We are presently negotiating with the Canadian Actors Equity Association (CAEA) and will be holding auditions for CAEA members soon. There will be roles for both CAEA and non-CAEA artists.
