Repercussion Theatre Raises $825 for the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation
Sunday, August 16, 2009
Due to the generosity of its patrons, Repercussion Theatre raised $825 in one evening for the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation.
During this Repercussion Theatre's presentation of William Shakespeare's As You Like It on August 12th at the Old Port, Repercussion appealed to its audience to help support Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation fundraising efforts. The event was a fruitful collaboration where half of the donations received during that evening's show went directly to support the Foundation. The money will help the MCHF in its drive to raise funds for the much-needed new hospital, slated to open its doors on the Glen Campus in Notre-Dame-de-Grace in 2013.

"Repercussion Theatre's As You Like It worth the hassles"
Wednesday, July 29, 2009
"... Judging from what I saw, Repercussion Theatre's park-touring production of As You Like It is worth braving the mosquitoes and filtering out the interference.
The look is 19th century, inspired by Notman photos at the McCord Museum, with period costumes of muted colours, featuring hoop skirts and top hats. The action is played out on a tiered wooden platform with a sepia-toned backdrop.
Director Paul Hopkins keeps things moving briskly in this tale of squabbling brothers, banished dukes, runaway girls, mistaken identities and love conquering all. Occasionally, some of the characters speak French, but the bilingual mix is deftly done so that the story is lost to no one ..."

Repercussion Theatre presents AS YOU LIKE IT
Wednesday, July 8, 2009
Repercussion Theatre, Montreal’s professional classical theatre company, puts a new spin on As You Like It during their 21st Shakespeare-in-the-Park tour from July 23 to August 16.
Local audiences will be thrilled to see that in Repercussion’s version of As You Like It Arden Forest is not in England but in La Belle Province, featuring the traditional folksy rhythms, music and dances that have entertained rural Québec for centuries. As well, while this production is primarily English, there will be French characters to help reflect Montreal’s linguistic duality. It really is “As You Like It” as this amazing production is filled with dance, music, laughter, and of course, love.

Theatre in the Parks - The Show must go on!
Friday, August 8, 2008
Halfway through its Theatre in the Parks tour, the cast and crew of Repercussion Theatre are getting used to performing in the rain. It is almost poetic, given that the company is presenting its 20th anniversary production of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest. In the play, the magician Prospero conjures a storm to shipwreck his enemies. Mother Nature has done her best to shipwreck Repercussion’s season, but as in the play, the victims persevere.
