For nearly 20 years, Repercussion Theatre has been bringing live theatre to Montreal’s parks. Now you can train with Repercussion Theatre alumni and classically-trained professionals.
Using the works of William Shakespeare as our foundation, Repercussion Theatre’s Shakespeare Training Program can help you develop your training as an actor, enhance your communication skills and build confidence in a positive, supportive setting. Learn from accomplished actors, directors and coaches with notable experience from world-renowned organizations such as the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.
Domini Blythe
Domini is known to theatre lovers everywhere; having performed on the stages of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival for 11 seasons, on Broadway in the Tony-nominated production of King Lear, and with the Royal Shakespeare Company. She is also an accomplished teacher, having taught at Concordia University and the National Theatre School in Montreal, and conducted workshops at universities across the U.S.
Jeanne Bowser
Jeanne is very excited to be joining the Shakespeare Training Program. Jeanne graduated from Concordia with a BFA in Theatre Performance and stayed on as an acting workshop leader. Highlights from her acting career include the Just for Laughs festival alongside John Cleese, a series lead for YTV’s Fries With That? , and a recent performance at the Centaur Theatre. She is currently pursuing her MA in Communication for Development and is looking forward to co-teaching with Amanda!
Peter Farbridge
Peter has been acting professionally for 20 years in Montreal and Toronto, most notably with Modern Times Stage Company of Toronto. His professional experience playing Shakespeare includes title roles in Hamlet and Macbeth, Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet, and various notable performances in productions of Twelfth Night, Cymbeline, and Anthony and Cleopatra. Through the work of Modern Times, as well as through training at the Stratford Festival and Shakespeare and Co. (Massachusetts), Peter has developed a personal approach to Shakespearean text that emphasizes freeing the actor's body. He has taught in various institutions, EMSPA (Kingston, Jamaica), Opera McGill (Montreal), ESTHEM (Montreal) and continues to give private workshops in Shakespeare and monologue.
Paul Hopkins
Prior to joining Repercussion Theatre as Artistic Director, Paul performed as "Benedick" in Richard Rose’s production of Much Ado About Nothing and spent two years acting on the stages of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival where he was selected for Stratford’s prestigious Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training. Paul also holds a BFA (Specialization in Theatre Performance) from Concordia University.
Amanda Kellock
After performing on the Repercussion stage for the past three years, Amanda directed the 2007 production of Molière's Les Fourberies de Scapin. Amanda holds a BFA in Theatre and Development from Concordia University and an MFA in Directing for Theatre from the University of Ottawa. She has taught acting workshops for Concordia University, the University of Ottawa, and the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts.
