The 2012 Shakespeare-in-the-Park Summer Tour of The Taming of the Shrew

Montréal, May 2012 – Repercussion Theatre’s Shakespeare-in-the-Park and Le Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée, bring William Shakespeare’s classic romantic comedy, The Taming of the Shrew, to Montreal and surrounding parks this summer from July 11th to August 5th. Admission is free.

Women are crazy! Men are idiots! Throughout the ages, the sexes have felt this way about their opposites at one time or another.

Montreal, July 11th, 2011 – Repercussion Theatre would like to invite media to attend a dress rehearsal of our upcoming production of Macbeth, which will tour parks around Montreal from July 28th to August 21st. This will be an excellent opportunity for still and video cameras to capture scenes from the play.

Repercussion Theatre is looking for young actors from Montreal to appear in our 2011 Macbeth production. That’s right, this year’s production of Macbeth will feature children from the borroughs we tour to! Repercussion Theatre is looking for boys and girls between the ages of 8-12 years.

Montreal, July 6th, 2011 – This year’s cast of Repercussion Theatre’s Shakespeare-in-the-Park summer tour of Macbeth will feature a dynamic mix of emerging new talents and some of Montreal’s best in English theatre.

Arianna Bardesono will be directing this year’s performance.  This up-and-coming international director is also the founder of the Montreal-based theatre company Odelah Creations.

Montreal, June 30th, 2011 – On the evening of Sunday, June 26th, at the Marché Bonsecours in the heart of Montreal’s Vieux Port, the Festival Montreal Baroque wound down with a highly unique, dark and menacing retelling of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Three of Repercussion Theatre’s actors were joined by an 8-piece choir and the Ensemble Caprice for DEADLY SIN, Macbeth in Hell: A Cabaret!, the Closing Grand Concert of this year’s festival.

Repercussion Theatre Announces New General Manager

Repercussion Theatre company is thrilled to announce that theatre and visual arts expert Kym Brennan has assumed position of general manager.

The addition of Brennan to Repercussion will allow former general manager and artistic director Paul Hopkins to concentrate on the company’s artistic direction. Brennan’s role will be to promote the company’s vision and focus on the administration.

“After coping with limited staff for the past few years, we’re finally in a position to strengthen the management of the company,” said Hopkins.
