Repercussion Theatre / Bios / English / Adrian Shepherd-Gawinski

Adrian Shepherd-Gawinski

Actor

Performing as Lucentio

Adrian is jacked to be returning to Repercussion after last year’s Macbeth. Favourite past roles include Bernard in Death of a Salesman (Hubbub Theatre), Feste in Twelfth Night (Hart House/Canopy Theatre) and Featured Soloist in Jacques Brel is alive and well… (ITS Festival Marathon Stage). He won’t bother to thank his Northern Ontarian family because they already know he loves them immensely, nor his inspiring schoolmates at the National Theatre School because most of them are already in this show. On his days off, you can find Adrian intrepidly jogging the streets of Montreal. A recent expedition to run from his Plateau apartment to Sculpture Park in Lachine failed catastrophically.

Raised in North Bay, Ontario, Adrian is now a student at the National Theatre School of Canada making his debut with Repercussion. Spending his first summer in Montréal, he is especially enjoying runs on the mountain, the purple hanging bulbs in the Village, and cheap dépanneur wine. He believes that language is formidable and belongs to the people, and that change is difficult but necessary for grown-ups.

Favourite roles on the résumé include Feste in Twelfth Night, Bernard in Death of a Salesman, and the Rum Tum Tugger in Cats. He thanks his extraordinary parents, his inspiring classmates, and Sehar Bhojani, his personal pea shucker.
